🌿 Free Crochet Pattern – Christmas Mistletoe Accessory

This pattern is made up of three leaves and three berries, which you’ll later assemble together.

🍃 Leaf (Make 3)

We’ll use the row stitch method, ending each round with ch 1 and turn your work.

2 crochet christmas mistletoes, with red berries in the middle

1️⃣ Start by chaining 13.

2️⃣ Skip 2 stitches backwards, and in the next stitches crochet:

  • 1 sc, 1 hdc,

  • [1 dc, chain 3 picot, 1 dc] (all in the same stitch),

  • 1 hdc, 1 dc,

  • [1 tr, chain 3 picot, 1 tr],

  • 2 dc, [1 tr, chain 3 picot, 1 tr],

  • 1 dc, 1 hdc,

  • [1 sc, chain 3 picot, 1 sc]

3️⃣ Now, crochet along the other side of the chain (the “right side”):

  • 1 hdc, 1 dc, [1 tr, chain 3 picot, 1 tr],

  • 2 dc, [1 tr, chain 3 picot, 1 tr],

  • 1 dc, 1 hdc, [1 dc, chain 3 picot, 1 dc],

  • 1 hdc, 1 sc, and sl st to close.

4️⃣ Fasten off and hide the yarn.Leave about 4 inches of yarn tail if you plan to sew it together.

🔴 Berries (Make 3)

1️⃣ Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2️⃣ Round 2: 6 increases (12)

3️⃣ Round 3: 6 decreases (6)

Fasten off and hide the yarn.

These little berries should look like tiny red balls. You can also add a bit of stuffing if you want them to be puffier!

✨ Assemble the Mistletoe

Now that you’ve finished all the pieces, it’s time to assemble your mistletoe!

You can either sew them together using your yarn needle or use hot glue for faster assembly.

Arrange the three leaves in a fan or cluster shape, then attach the three berries in the center where the leaves meet.

If you want to make it a keychain or ornament, attach a keyring or a small ribbon at the top.

And that’s it! You now have your very own handmade mistletoe crochet accessory ready to hang, gift, or decorate.

💡 Customization Ideas

Once you make one mistletoe, you’ll realize how easy it is to experiment with colors and shapes. Here are some ideas to make yours unique:

  • 🌸 Frosted look: Use light green and white yarn to create a snow-dusted mistletoe.

  • Sparkly version: Add metallic or glitter yarn for a festive shine.

  • 💖 Romantic twist: Crochet a pink or white version as a Valentine’s Day decoration.

  • 🧷 Wearable version: Turn it into a brooch by gluing a pin on the back.
